BOSTON, June 18, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- A lawsuit has been recently filed on March 15, 2010 accusing Toyota of engaging in Racketeering claims and deceptive business practices that have and continue to seriously harm the public.
According to Gilman and Pastor, LLP, while Toyota continues to deny relief to its customers, consumers continue to suffer serious personal injury from sudden acceleration gas pedal problems and other major problems. Toyota has even refused to purchase injured parties vehicles and is allowing these dangerous and unsafe vehicles to be driven.
On June 1, 2010, Mr. Nelson Thompson was operating his 2004 Sienna which had only 46,000 miles, when it suddenly accelerated while at a traffic light in Portland, Maine resulting in a major collision. According to Mr. Nelson's attorney, Kenneth G. Gilman of the national firm of Gilman and Pastor, Toyota's lack of financial responsibility has been outrageous. Gilman represents many owners who have suffered serious injuries while Toyota continues to dodge the problems and stonewall federal and state agencies. Gilman is demanding full compensation for its clients.
The problems continue to rise due to the defects found in Toyota vehicles. According to Gilman and Pastor, LLP, people are continuing to suffer serious injuries due to vehicle malfunction. With the rising number of accidents and injuries, Toyota is not doing enough to protect their customers.
