PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwire - June 28, 2010) - A winner has come forward to claim the $1.7 million The Pick jackpot from the drawing last Saturday, June 26.
The winner, who requested to remain anonymous, purchased the ticket at the Arco AM/PM located at 3233 S. McClintock Dr., in Tempe.
"I am going to invest it for my children's education and for the future," said the winner, who chose the annuity option.
"It's always a thrill when someone comes through our doors with a winning Pick ticket," said Jeff Hatch-Miller, executive director of the Arizona Lottery. "The Pick is Arizona's own jackpot game, so it is especially gratifying when someone claims their prize."
Drawings for The Pick are broadcast Wednesday and Saturday during the 10 p.m. news on Channel 15 (ABC) in Phoenix, Channel 13 (CBS) in Tucson and in Spanish on Univision Arizona.
Players can check their numbers by logging onto www.arizonalottery.com or by calling the winning numbers hotlines at 480-829-PICK in Phoenix and 1-800-499-3798 in all other Arizona areas. Players can also opt-in to receive winning number text alerts by texting "AZLOT" to 411247.
