MENLO PARK, CA--(Marketwire - August 23, 2010) - TYZX, the 3D vision technology company, today introduced TYZX DeepSea XD series of long-range stereo vision cameras for use with the TYZX G3 Embedded Vision System (EVS). The new XD cameras excel at providing accurate range data in real time at distances up to 128 meters and can be used for applications such as detecting and tracking people and objects.
The XD cameras extend the operating distance of TYZX's DeepSea G3 EVS -- small, fast, rugged, and smart 3D vision system that provides reliable, real-time range data for robots, security systems, and other applications.
The XD cameras feature longer stereo baselines of 33cm and 50 cm, Aptina CMOS WVGA imagers (752x480) with full-frame shutters, and 40º, 62º, or 80º horizontal field-of-view lenses. Each XD camera attaches to a specially configured G3 EVS system through a custom LVDS cable with ruggedized connectors. The XD cameras feature all-aluminum construction and are shipped pre-calibrated by TYZX. Color vision is available as an option. The cameras support full 60 fps operation and enable long-range applications to take full advantage of the real-time 3D vision capabilities of the TYZX G3 EVS.
