For a third consecutive month, Stieg Larsson's "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" took the top spot on the adult fiction eBook and audiobook charts, while his blockbuster follow-ups remained close behind in the No. 2 and 3 positions. In juvenile fiction, the release of Suzanne Collins' "Mockingjay" sent the first book in the trilogy, "The Hunger Games," to the top of the audiobook list. Elizabeth Gilbert's "Eat, Pray, Love," Gretchen Rubin's "The Happiness Project," and James Patterson and Maxine Paetro's "Private" were also among the most downloaded digital books from the library in August 2010.
The 'Most Downloaded Books from the Library' lists are organized by subject and format, and compiled based on activity at more than 11,000 libraries in the OverDrive global network.
