Preliminary result of Amagerbanken's rights offering
Amagerbanken has established that the bank's offering of new shares with
pre-emption rights for the bank's existing shareholders has been fully
subscribed in the gross amount of DKK 898,378,668. On expiry of the subscription
period, the bank had received subscriptions through exercise of subscription
rights and subscription commitments for a number of shares significantly
exceeding the number of unexercised subscription rights.
Amagerbanken has not yet accepted the subscriptions and consequently has not yet
effected the capital increase and the capital reduction adopted at the
extraordinary general meeting held on 17 August 2010.
Compared to the previously announced timetable, it is not expected that the
final allocation of and the payment for the most recently allocated shares will
be effected until Monday 13 September 2010, on which date an extraordinary
general meeting of Amagerbanken is also to elect the two candidates appointed by
the Financial Stability Company to the bank's board of directors in fulfilment
of the conditions under the agreement with the Financial Stability Company. It
is expected that registration of the capital increase with the Danish Commerce
and Companies Agency will be effected on 14 September 2010 and the first day of
trading for the new shares is expected to be on 15 September 2010.
