* Series production reaches all-time high of 1.1 million Engine Equivalents in September * Two consecutive months with more than one million Engine Equivalents produced * Year-on-year production increases by 120% compared to September 2009 [Stockholm, 12 October 2010] - Building on the continued ramp-up of high volume series production programmes in Asia and the Americas, plus the launch of three new engines since the start of 2010, SinterCast's annualised series production has exceeded one million Engine Equivalents. Annualised series production in August 2010 reached 1,050,000 Engine Equivalents and grew further to 1,100,000 Engine Equivalents (55,000 tonnes/year) in September, clearly demonstrating stable series production in excess of the one million milestone. The series production for September 2010 represents a 120% increase relative to the production pace of 500,000 Engine Equivalents in September 2009, and an increase of 47% compared to the pre-economic downturn high of 750,000 Engine Equivalents established in September 2008. "The primary contribution continues to come from Ford 6.7 litre V8 engine and from the exhaust component production in China, where we will support the production of more than one million castings this year. However, the launch of the Navistar 6.4 litre V8, the Land Rover 4.4 litre V8 and the VM Motori 3.0 litre V6 engines during 2010 has also provided significant contributions to our recent growth" said Dr. Steve Dawson, President & CEO of SinterCast. "With the financial stability provided by the new share issue in 2009, the successful exercise of the shareholder warrants, and our positive cashflow in the first half of 2010, we look forward to building on our current position and continuing to expand our leadership position in the market."
