Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians Presents Gladiator Challenge Mixed Martial Arts Event on Saturday, November 13

Three World Championship Belts on the Line

SACRAMENTO, CA--(Marketwire - November 2, 2010) -  The Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians are pleased to announce that they will host Gladiator Challenge, one of the longest-running mixed martial arts (MMA) promotions, on Saturday, November 13, at 1 p.m., at the Shingle Springs Rancheria. The event called "Impulse" will feature a total of 20 exciting MMA matches including the Gladiator Challenge Middleweight Championship, Super Heavyweight Championship, and Native American Light Heavyweight Championship. Parking will be available in Red Hawk™ Casino's parking garage. A shuttle will take guests from the casino to the event.

In the main event, Gladiator Challenge middleweight champion, Jeff Morris, will look to defend his title against former Gladiator Challenge light heavyweight champion, Rick Randolph. It should be a competitive match as Morris and Randolph have both won three of their last four bouts.

The co-main event will showcase a highly-anticipated rematch for the Gladiator Challenge Super Heavyweight Title between Rick Vardell and Dan Quinn, who first squared off in 2002 when Quinn won by a TKO. Quinn has since competed nine times in Gladiator Challenge events and has faced UFC™ fighters Frank Mir and Jason "The Punisher" Lambert, and Strikeforce™ veteran Carter Williams. Vardell has gone 3-0 since he returned to fight action last year.

In addition, Mike Gonzalez, the Gladiator Challenge Native American light heavyweight title holder, will defend his belt against number one contender, William "Lil' Bear" Johnson. This encounter will likely have an effect on the Gladiator Challenge light heavyweight rankings.

Tickets for Gladiator Challenge "Impulse" are available via the Virtual Box Office at www.virtualboxoffice.com, by calling (888) 826-8858, or by visiting Red Hawk Traders gift shop inside Red Hawk Casino. Gates will open at 11:00 a.m., with the fights beginning at 1 p.m.
