MINNEAPOLIS, MN--(Marketwire - November 8, 2010) - Despatch Industries, the global leader in thermal processing technology and equipment, reports that the company earned sales revenue in excess of $75 million in the third quarter, ended October 2. The revenue total consists of sales from the company's Solar, Thermal Technology and Carbon Fiber Business Units and Global Service Network.
Despatch CEO, Patrick Peyton commented, "2010 has been a record year for Despatch. Our increased sales revenue reflects the phenomenal growth of our Solar Business Unit and the major orders won by the Thermal Technology and Carbon Fiber Business units in the third quarter." Peyton continued, "All indications point to this success continuing through the next quarter and well into 2011."
Though all markets were strong in the third quarter, Despatch attributes a large part of its success to the company's thriving solar business in Asia. The majority of Despatch's export business is going to Asia to support the expanding solar cell manufacturing market.
In order to meet the increased demand from all of its primary markets, Despatch has significantly increased manufacturing capacity and accelerated production times. The company has also expanded its global employee base to provide critical manufacturing, engineering, sales and service support.
