The newly released MCollective 1.0 acts as a command line interface (CLI) to ask real-time questions about network and queue tasks coming into a Puppet Master, the central coordination servers in a Puppet deployment.
As a very active and prominent member of the Puppet community, previous MCollective projects have been in environments that rely on Puppet for infrastructure automation. Combining MCollective with Puppet adds an important time element to the way systems are managed and improves IT productivity.
