Amsterdam, the Netherlands - December 20, 2010 - Ahold has repurchased 846,938 Ahold common shares in the period from December 13, 2010 up to and including December 17, 2010. The shares were repurchased at an average price of € 9.5764 per share for a total consideration of € 8.11 million. These repurchases were made as part of the € 500 million share buyback program announced on March 4, 2010.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is 37,268,787 common shares for a total consideration of € 371.5 million.
