PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwire - January 3, 2011) - The jackpot for Mega Millions, Arizona's newest multi-state game, has climbed from $12 million to $330 million. This is the highest Mega Millions jackpot since Arizona joined the game in April of last year. The jackpot reached an all-time high of $390 million in March 2007.
Three players in Arizona won $250,000 prizes in Friday night's Mega Millions draw. The winning tickets were purchased at a Fry's Food Store in Queen Creek, a Circle K in Avondale and a Circle K in Peoria.
In the last week alone, there have been close to 90,000 Mega Millions winners in Arizona.
"I can't imagine a better way to kick off the New Year than with a high Mega Millions jackpot," said Jeff Hatch-Miller, executive director of the Arizona Lottery. "We love having winners from Arizona and encourage everyone to play responsibly."

Players can also pay an extra $1 for a Megaplier that multiplies winnings, excluding the jackpot, up to four times the original amount. Drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays. The game is played in 41 states and Washington, D.C.
