In December 2010 AS Tallink Grupp transported 681287 passengers which is more than a 17% increase compared to December 2009. The number of passenger vehicles increased over 15% to 74 777 and trucks and trailers increased over 16% to 22 523 units in same comparison.

 

AS Tallink Grupp’s passenger, cargo unit and passenger car numbers for December were the following:

The following operational factors influenced the development in December 2010:

 

FINLAND-GERMANY

In the last week of December 2010 M/S Superfast VII replaced M/S Superstar on the Tallinn-Helsinki route, leaving the Rostock-Helsinki route with one vessel. In the end of December Superfast VII and VIII stopped operating on the Rostock-Helsinki route for the winter period.

 

ESTONIA-FINLAND

In the last week of December M/S Superstar was in maintenance and during that time was replaced by M/S Superfast VII.

 

ESTONIA-SWEDEN

In the end of December 2010 M/S Kapella stopped operating on the Paldiski-Kapellskär route.
