Roomlinx Integrates and Bundles Unlimited HD Movie Package With WiFi

Roomlinx Believed to be First to Install This Capability at New 610 Room Luxury Hotel in Chicago

DENVER, Jan. 5, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Roomlinx, Inc. (OTCBB:RMLX), the innovative developer of hotel interactive TV applications, today announced the completion of the installation and integration of their Interactive HD TV (iTV) product with the Wired and Wireless network at a new, prestigious hotel in downtown Chicago developed by The Prime Group, Inc. (www.primegroupinc.com). Roomlinx installed 638 Interactive TV (iTV) systems, covering all of the hotel's 610 rooms.

Roomlinx uniquely integrates the in-room entertainment system with a property's guest-facing wireless and wired high-speed internet and creates a bundled package for both. The product offering consists of several application bundles ranging from complimentary concierge access and bundled movies to Internet and business applications. With Roomlinx iTV packages, guests have access to HD Hollywood movies, Internet Apps including Netflix, Pandora, Google Apps, Hulu, YouTube, Facebook, and more, high speed internet, HD specialty content, international and U.S. television programming, music, business tools, virtual concierge services, games and more via the in-room flat screen high definition television.

Roomlinx worked very closely with the property, the brand, and multiple vendors to custom develop a new and unique customer experience. Guests can now purchase these packages on the TV or the laptop, which integrates the guest experience so the TV knows when a guest makes a purchase on their laptop and vice versa. The integration effort makes the guest experience seamless and also allows the hotel to market multiple services on multiple devices to increase revenue opportunity.

"Roomlinx is very easy to use for the non-technical guest and it also offers quick and seamless access to web applications such as Netflix, YouTube and Pandora," said Tony Adduci, IT Director for Prime. "The extensive development and fast installation at our 610 room property exceeded all expectations. I am very impressed with Roomlinx and I look forward to working with them on our next project."

Roomlinx also integrated its system with the hotel's device panel, allowing the guest to insert a thumb drive to view, edit and print their documents through the Roomlinx iTV system. The property also offers the guest the ability to rent an all-in-one printer, scanner and copier that is "plug and play" into the Roomlinx iTV system, transforming the guest room into a virtual office.

"These integrations are the tip of the iceberg for what our team and product platform are able to offer," stated Michael Wasik, CEO of Roomlinx. "Each hotel brand has custom demands and this effort shows we are able to meet and exceed these demands. We are seeing more and more hotel companies desire to use the LCD TV as a central guest portal. We expect to continue to develop and integrate with the hotel's proprietary systems along with continuing to create and integrate with additional web applications."
