Amsterdam, the Netherlands - January, 17, 2011 - Ahold has repurchased 1,742,139 Ahold common shares in the period from January, 10, 2011 up to and including January, 14, 2011. The shares were repurchased at an average price of € 9.7042 per share for a total consideration of € 16.90 million. These repurchases were made as part of the € 500 million share buyback program announced on March 4, 2010.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is 42,849,992 common shares for a total consideration of € 426.2 million.
