Valley Telephone Selects Enablence for Broadband Stimulus Upgrade

(TSX VENTURE:ENA), a leading supplier of fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) equipment and multi-services access platform for triple-play, residential and business services and optical components and subsystems for access, metro and long-haul markets, announced today that VTX Telecom LLC (VTXT), a subsidiary of Valley Telephone Cooperative, Inc. (VTCI) is leveraging the Enablence platform to construct a fiber-based network throughout the southern region of Texas. As one of the U.S. Broadband Stimulus funding recipients, the Texas-based CLEC is making strategic investments in carrier-grade access equipment from Enablence, empowering them to successfully migrate to a high-speed, next-generation communications network that supports triple-play services to residential and business subscribers.
