It is with great satisfaction that we announce that Joachim Malich has been employed as Chief Executive Director (CED) in the group’s German subsidiary, Solar Deutschland GmbH, with effect from 1 February 2011 and that he will join the Solar Management Team at the same time.
Joachim Malich, who is German and 47 years old, is trained as an engineer. He comes from a position at Sick AG, where he was a member of the executive board and responsible for the business segment process automation.
Previously, Joachim Malich was employed as Executive Vice President at Mitsubishi Electric Europe, as Vice President at Cegelec Anlagen- und Automatisierungstechnik GmbH and as General Manager at Siemens in Hamburg.
To give Joachim Malich the best possible introduction to the Solar Group and to Solar Deutschland GmbH, Jens Andersen, who has been temporarily appointed CED in Solar Deutschland GmbH since 25 March 2010, will still be responsible for the daily operation of the company in February.
After this, Jens Andersen will return to his position as Finance and Supply Chain Director of Solar Danmark A/S.
Concurrently with us welcoming Joachim Malich, we would like to take the opportunity to thank Jens Andersen for his very great and committed efforts in the German subsidiary throughout the past year.
