LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - January 27, 2011) - "America's Got Talent" season five semifinalist, Dan Sperry, will bring his offbeat style of shock illusion to audiences in his very first tour. Guests in select cities can enjoy performances combining illusion and the bizarre with satirical macabre humor and non-stop mayhem set to an industrial musical score with razor blades, Voodoo, blood and more.
Las Vegas-based Sperry is best recognized for his appearance on season five of NBC's "America's Got Talent" in early 2010. After receiving more than one million views on YouTube, he captivated voters and sent judge Howie Mandel running into the stands as he chewed up a lifesaver and then made it re-appear out of his throat.
"I'm excited to take on my very first U.S. tour," said Sperry. "The response from fans since being on 'America's Got Talent' has been amazing. It's a great thing to be able to do what I love and entertain people at the same time. This new show is going to blow my fans away. It's nothing like they have seen before."
"We've taken Dan's stage show to a whole new level with this tour," said Jason Egan, executive producer and manager of Sperry's tour. "This isn't your average magic show. Over the past year we have worked with some of the top illusion builders in the country and have a full scale production combining magic, special effects and so much more."
Egan adds to the energy of the tour with his 13 years in the industry and passion for all things terrifying and dark. Owner of Fright Dome in Las Vegas, one of the top ranked Halloween attractions in the nation, he teamed with Sperry in late 2010 to combine talents.
Sperry's tour will kick off on Friday, March 11 at the Robert's Orpheum Theater in St. Louis, MO. Other tour locations include the Folly Theater in Kansas City, MO; Hoyt Sherman Place in Des Moines, IA; the Orpheum Theatre in Sioux City, IA; the Orpheum Theater in Omaha, NE; the Paramount Theatre in Denver, CO and many more.
