The new eArchive solution enables national and state governments and other organizations to meet long-term preservation requirements following Open Archival Information Systems (OAIS) standards, and provides easy access to researchers and to the public. The Java-based solution stores records from diverse data sources in a SQL-database, following modern principles for layers and components. Users have web-based access through a Jahia content management portal, which also serves to provide uptime statistics, and support entry points to news, issues, and external systems. Additional features include automated data delivery, storage, access, and elimination, support for workflows and processes, issue management, role-based access control, tracing and reporting, and archiving of IT source code and documentation.
