MJP Waterjets wins orders worth Euro 2 million in Asia and Europe

Helsingborg, Sweden, 2011-02-15 07:55 CET (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MJP Waterjets, the fastest growing global supplier of waterjets, wins orders worth in total Euro 2 million. This is the first time that MJP Waterjets’s newly established sales office in Singapore contributes to increased sales in Asia. The new orders refer to the delivery of waterjets for governmental applications and fast ferries. Deliveries of waterjets will take place during 2011.

– MJP Waterjets’s new orders worth Euro 2 million is partly the fruit of our newly established sales office in Singapore, which brings increased market presence and improved service to our customers in Asia and in the Middle East, says MJP Waterjets’s CEO, Hans Andersson.

MJP Waterjets established a new sales office in Singapore in 2010. The sales office has strengthened the company’s presence in the rapidly growing markets in Asia and in the Middle East, where MJP Waterjets has a significant market share in the segment of governmental applications.

In September, 2010, MJP Waterjets won one of the largest contracts ever in the market for waterjets, worth Euro 12 million. The company will supply waterjets for 36 high-speed interceptor boats for the Indian coast guard. The order is an important reference for the company’s continued sales in India, which is expected to become the world’s largest market for waterjets during forthcoming years. MJP Waterjets had per 2010-12-31 an order back-log worth Euro 27 million.
