In a questionnaire completed by the 2011 honorees, 51% of Premier 100 honorees said they have seen their annual IT budget increase in the past year. Honorees have also seen an increase in internal head count (40%) over the past year and 36% of honorees have increased their contractor head count. Additionally, honorees revealed they are investing in critical technologies in the next twelve months. The top technology priorities include:
1) Application software development/upgrades/replacements;
2) Data management/business analytics;
3) Virtualization;
4) Security;
5) Cloud computing.
