CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - March 2, 2011) - MC Squared Energy Services, LLC (mc²) announced today it has reached an agreement to sell its retail power company to DPL Energy Resources, Inc. (DPLER) which markets electricity to commercial and business customers in Ohio. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
DPLER is a subsidiary of DPL Inc. (DPL), a regional energy company whose main subsidiary is The Dayton Power and Light Company.
The transaction includes over 2,000 customer accounts. mc² currently provides retail electricity supply as a licensed electricity supplier in Illinois. The principals of mc² will remain prospectively, and customers will see no changes with respect to electricity supply service as a result of the transaction.
