WEST CHESTER, PA--(Marketwire - March 16, 2011) - QVC®'s Annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration is scheduled to kick off Thursday, March 17 at midnight (ET). The 24-hour broadcast of Irish programming will feature an extensive assortment of authentic Irish goods, many of which were created especially for QVC.
The Annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration is the multimedia retailer's largest showcase of Irish merchandise. From jewelry to fashion to home décor, unique Ireland-based brands will be available throughout the day on QVC as well as online at QVC.com. The world-renowned singing group Celtic Thunder is also scheduled to perform several times throughout the broadcast.
As one of the largest U.S. retailers for Irish goods, the show coincides with a visit to the U.S. by Ireland's new Prime Minister [An Taoiseach], Enda Kenny. Prime Minister Kenny will attend a series of business events celebrating Ireland's commercial links with the U.S. The events are organized by Enterprise Ireland [EI], the government organization responsible for the development and growth of Irish enterprises in world markets.

New merchandise from Boyne Valley Weavers, Tipperary Crystal, Waterford, Bewley's Tea and Coffee Company, and Connemara Marble, to name a few, are also scheduled to launch during QVC's Annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration.
