LOS ANGELES, March 21, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- With 46,300 fans aged 18 and older filling the grounds of the National Orange Show (NOS) Event Center in San Bernardino, California, Insomniac made their second annual Beyond Wonderland festival an unforgettable experience.

"Insomniac's goal is to transform the surroundings by bringing together music, art, theatrical performances and lighting to create an extraordinary and unique experience that the fans will remember forever," said Pasquale Rotella, CEO of Insomniac. "Beyond Wonderland's success once again proves that all these elements can successfully be united to create an unforgettable show in a safe and secure environment."
In its second year, Beyond Wonderland has grown to become one of the largest, most talent packed multi-genre music festivals in the country. The themed event played host to some of the world's most popular artists including Kaskade, Calvin Harris, Cosmic Gate, Dirty South, Richie Hawtin, Noisia and Funkagenda.
Much more than just a concert, Beyond Wonderland also featured inspiring large-scale art installations including "Syzygryd" the first interactive art installation to be featured at this event and "Mutopia" which used pyrotechnics to light the night sky.
To enforce Insomniac's standard age restriction, staff utilized handheld electronic ID scanners to verify the age of all attendees. To better understand the music-genre and security protocols, prominent state and local elected officials also attended the event, including Speaker Pro Tem of the California State Assembly, Assemblymember Fiona Ma and City of San Bernardino Mayor Pro Tem, Councilmember Tobin Brinker.
"I'm so pleased that decision-makers such as Speaker Pro Tem, Assemblymember Ma and City of San Bernardino Mayor Pro Tem, Councilmember Brinker were able to witness first-hand that Insomniac creates the most entertaining and safe events for our fans and artists to enjoy. We are grateful that they took the time to see our operations. As with all of our events in San Bernardino, Beyond Wonderland thrives because of the continued support and assistance of the National Orange Show, the San Bernardino community and businesses, as well as the San Bernardino Police and Fire Departments who helped make this event a huge success," concluded Rotella.
Beyond Wonderland does not end in San Bernardino. It reappears for another show on May 14th in Seattle, Washington.
