Zealand Pharma to host a Capital Market Day and Site Visit
Wednesday, 6 April 2011 from 12:00 to 4:30pm CET.
Copenhagen, 22 March 2011 - Zealand Pharma (NASDAQ OMX: ZEAL), a Scandinavian based biopharmaceutical company with a mature drug pipeline, including lixisenatide, a diabetes product in late-stage Phase III development in collaboration with sanofi-aventis, will host a capital market day and site visit at its Copenhagen headquarters on Wednesday, 6 April 2011 from 12:00 to 16:30 CET.
During the event, members of the Zealand Pharma management team will present the business opportunity and model as well as the strategy of the company. Focus will be on Zealand Pharma’s pipeline of novel peptide drugs for better treatment of selected metabolic (diabetes and obesity), gastro-intestinal and cardiovascular diseases.
As part of the programme for the day, Dr. Bernard Charbonnel, Chair of the Department of Medicine at the Université de Nantes, will give a keynote presentation on the outlook for diabetes treatment and the impact of GLP-1 and new insulin treatments.
