Boeing Renews "Meet the Press With David Gregory" Mobile App Sponsorship Including Launch of New Android App

#1 Sunday Morning Public Affairs Program Extends the Discussion to the Android Platform on The Zumobi Network

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - March 24, 2011) - Msnbc.com and Zumobi Inc., a mobile media publisher, today announced that Boeing has renewed its exclusive sponsorship of the "Meet the Press with David Gregory" application across multiple platforms, including the launch of the app on the Android platform with added content and new features. The "Meet the Press" App, which delivers a multimedia experience to followers of America's No. 1 Sunday morning public affairs program, is also available on the iOS platform and in RIM's BlackBerry App World.

Boeing and their Global Agency of Record, DraftFCB, partnered with Zumobi and msnbc.com to launch the "Meet the Press" App for iPhone, iPod touch and BlackBerry devices last spring with Boeing as the exclusive sponsor. The app has seen great success, reaching the top five of the free news category on Apple's App Store. Because of this success and the strength of Zumobi's BrandBlast technology, Boeing has renewed its agreement to remain the exclusive app sponsor across these multiple mobile platforms.

"The mobile applications, which will now reach Android platforms, extend the reach of one of the most important programs on television," said Fritz Johnston, Boeing vice president, Global Brand Management and Advertising. "We're proud to be part of the 'Meet the Press' team and excited by Zumobi's efforts, which seamlessly integrate our brand into the show's app content."

With the launch of this app on the Android platform, more fans of "Meet the Press" can access compelling interviews with leading U.S. and world newsmakers and discussions with noted journalists and experts from the program's famed roundtables. Users can now receive push notifications with information about upcoming guests on the show and stay current with the newsmakers of the moment. Trivia video clips have been added along with the Twitter stream from the show's executive producer, Betsy Fischer. Fischer regularly engages fans with trivia contests via Twitter and now participants can track the challenges and responses from within the app.

"'Meet the Press' is fortunate to have an incredibly loyal and engaged fan base and we're committed to expanding our digital offerings to make our content more accessible to this audience," said Andrew Locke, senior director of product strategy, msnbc.com. "The app that we launched last spring with Boeing as the exclusive sponsor has been extremely successful and has really helped us extend the 'Meet the Press' conversations beyond Sunday morning. Now, we want to offer the same features to Android users, and by tapping into Zumobi's expertise in cross-platform publishing, we can do this effortlessly."

"With its dedicated viewership and incredibly valuable content, the 'Meet the Press' show is the best of its kind. We're thrilled that Boeing decided to renew their sponsorship to bring more valued content to our network on an additional platform," said Ken Willner, CEO of Zumobi. "This app is a great example of our platform's value proposition for both advertisers and publishers. Our technology allows us to publish and monetize apps across multiple platforms, creating benefits for not only our publishing partners, but to our advertisers as well through increased awareness of their brand on the mobile platform."

The "Meet the Press" App is available for free as a part of The Zumobi Network, a premium mobile app network. The Zumobi Network offers a variety of entertaining, informative and useful mobile media applications to enjoy on next-generation smartphones.
