LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - April 5, 2011) - Aristocrat's winning ways continued when the company's all-new game category Mega Pay™ was named one of the Top Ten Slot Floor Products for 2011 in the fifth annual Casino Enterprise Management Slot Floor Technology Awards.
Aristocrat Americas President Nick Khin said, "We are absolutely thrilled with this latest award. We introduced Mega Pay at G2E 2010, where we promised new and even better player experiences. Now this new award is independent validation that Aristocrat is making games that players -- and operators -- love."
Mega Pay is an all new game category designed to give players additional opportunities to win by playing up to four sets of reels in the bonus feature as well as having additional wilds. The category is unique because players receive the extra sets of reels as a bonus rather than purchasing the sets of reels in a regular game. Mega Pay is available now on two game titles, More Hearts™ and More Chilli™.
With Mega Pay, when players get into the bonus, they start by playing two sets of reels. As they collect symbols during the free games, they can receive additional sets of reels. When players collect nine symbols they receive the third set of reels and the fifth reel becomes wild. When players collect 14 symbols they receive a fourth set of reels and the fourth and fifth reels become wild. When players collect 30 symbols the third, fourth and fifth reels become wild. The More Chilli or More Hearts feature can either be triggered at random or with three or more scatters. During the bonus feature two sets of reels appear and 15 free games begin. Players are then on a quest to gather Chillis or Hearts symbols, dependent on the game.
The top ten winners were selected from a large field of entries, judged by an expert panel that included Robert Allen, corporate VP of casino operations, Pinnacle Entertainment; Buddy Frank, VP of slot operations at Pechanga Resort & Casino; Chuck Hickey, VP of slot operations at Barona Resort & Casino; Charlie Lombardo, gaming consultant; Stephanie Maddocks, founder and president, Power Strategies; Frank Neborsky, VP of slot operations, Mohegan Sun; and Robert Sobczyk, VP of casino operations, Ameristar Casinos.
Mega Pay and a wide range of other innovative Aristocrat games are on display this week at Aristocrat's booth #1004 at the NIGA Trade Show in Phoenix.
