NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - April 7, 2011) - Pristine Advisers, LLC, International Investor Relations and Financial Communications firm, will be hosting two Closed-End Fund Conference events in 2011 in New York City.
We have also recently organized a webcast featuring some of the top shareholders of Closed-End Funds, Barry Olliff of City of London Investment Group, Cody Bartlett of Karpus Investment Management and Phil Goldstein of Bulldog Investors which was moderated by Mike Taggart, Closed-End Fund Specialist at Morningstar. The webcast is titled, "Putting Shareholders First."
As Investor Relations experts, it is our ultimate goal to bring shareholders and Closed-End Funds together in harmony. We've created a platform which we hope will broaden the outreach that Closed-End Funds can have, to help bridge the communication gap that sometimes exists between Funds and the investment community.
The first event was a webcast in which some of the largest Closed-End Fund shareholders spoke candidly about what they look for in Closed-End Funds and what they expect from Fund managers and Board of Directors. This free event was well received and very informative. We hope to begin a series of semi-annual webcasts of industry specific topics to help educate investors and provide a platform for Fund managers, industry experts and shareholders alike. Next on our list are our two conferences set for June 1, 2011 and November 9, 2011.
"As IR Consultants, we have scoured all of the industry specific conferences and events for our clients. We have attended many events for our clients and have seen our clients spend much of their marketing budget with little to no ROI. It is difficult to find a venue that is specific to the Closed-End Fund product and yet tailors exclusively to the Closed-End Fund investor. After seeing too many clients waste money on such events, we've decided to host our own events," states Patricia Baronowski-Schneider, President of Pristine Advisers.
Pristine Advisers is not a conference organizer; but rather an International Investor Relations and Financial Communications Firm. The conference platform is another form of visibility for Closed-End Funds to present themselves to qualified professionals.
"With over two decades of working in the closed-end fund space, we have relationships with all of the key industry players and shareholders alike. We want to set the stage for Fund Managers to be able to present their funds to both the retail community as well as the institutional community, analysts, brokers and media -- all in one location. Webcasts can be fine, but do not replace the often requested face-to-face meetings and presentations," states Theresa Barrows, Vice President at Pristine Advisers.
If you would like to attend, present or speak on a panel -- please contact us for more details.

2) CEFNetwork presents: Insight and Enlightenment into the World of Closed-End Funds
Wednesday, November 9, 2011
The Grand Hyatt Hotel, New York City
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Breakfast & Luncheon (no charge for qualified attendees)
This event will be geared towards institutional investors and shareholders, analysts, brokers, financial advisors and press. There will be break-out sessions for media interviews. We will arrange for interviews, have booths set up outside for each participating Fund to present their materials where your spokesperson can meet visitors to your booth and learn about your Funds. The entire event will be webcast and we will equally promote this portion of the conference to interested parties worldwide. There will be many networking opportunities which we will capitalize on. Equally, we will work closely with key media outlets to promote the event and in turn they will act as Media Sponsors. Participating Funds will receive an attendee list as well.
It is our intention to have a Closed-End Fund only platform and have presentations not only on individual funds, but also have intelligent and stimulating conversation about the advantages of Closed-End Funds and the internal differences between them. We will discuss the profitable history and continuous long-term investment opportunities that Closed-End funds represent. Therefore, the theme is "Insight and Enlightenment into the World of Closed-End Funds."
