Faaborg, Denmark, 2011-04-15 09:59 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On 2 March 2011 it was announced that Sparekassen Faaborg A/S and Svendborg Sparekasse A/S were going to conduct a merger of the two savings banks to a new combined bank under the name of Bank Fyn A/S.
After this date there have been ongoing negotiations, however with the result that the two savings banks could not agree on the final terms of the merger, including the future business model.
This means that the two savings banks will continue separately as independent banks.
The two savings banks’ long-standing and excellent cooperation in Leasing Fyn A/S, Regional Invest Fyn A/S and Sparekassekollegiet A/S will continue unchanged.
