With its extended reach, ladders would not be needed for many home "fixit" projects that could potentially result in falls and trips to an emergency room.
The Adapt-O-Pole is being targeted to homes with swimming pools. According to the USA Swimming and National Swimming Pool Foundation, there are some 10 million homes with swimming pools just in the USA alone.
The Adapt-O-Pole will also be featured in May at the National Hardware Show in Las Vegas as one of the featured products of "The Inventor Lady," Rita Crompton, an annual vendor at the Las Vegas event.
