Alex Kuo Joins Iveda Solutions as SVP of Global Alliances & GM Asia

MESA, AZ--(Marketwire - May 11, 2011) - Iveda Solutions (OTCBB: IVDA) announced today the hiring of Alex Kuo as senior vice president of global alliances and general manager Asia, reporting to the president and CEO.

Iveda Solutions is the pioneer in cloud-based video hosting and real-time remote surveillance services. The Company has a SAFETY Act Designation by the Department of Homeland Security as a Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology.

The Company recently announced the completion of its acquisition of MEGAsys Taiwan, in which Alex played a major role as a liaison between the two companies. Alex brought the two companies together in late 2009 and has been working for the Company as a consultant.

Alex will develop and manage new alliances with companies that will advance Iveda Solutions' global play both on the sales and supplier side. As general manager of Asia, Alex will work with the MEGAsys management team to ensure that the new subsidiary is integrated with Iveda Solutions' goals and strategies.

Alex comes to Iveda Solutions with 20 years experience in the Acer group as sales manager of Africa, regional marketing director of peripheral products, and director of key component management. Prior to Acer, he was general manger of Servex/Anextek. He also held vice president and senior vice president positions at China Security & Surveillance Technology, Inc., FalconStor Software, and Global Data Solution Co., Ltd. He remained a consultant to CSST and FalconStor after his stint as an employee. Alex also serves as an instructor at the Cloud Computing Industry Association of Taiwan.

Alex is currently based in China and will be relocating to Canada in a few months.

Alex received his Master of Science and Technology Innovation Management degree at George Washington University and his undergraduate degree at National Taiwan University.
