TOKYO--(Marketwire - Jun 1, 2011) - Sigma Systems, an industry leader in Advanced IP Service Fulfillment solutions, today announced it has been selected by iTSCOM, a cable operator headquartered in Tokyo, to manage triple-play service fulfillment and device provisioning for its 250,000 subscribers. In addition, iTSCOM has also become a managed service provider of Sigma Systems' Service Management Platform (SMP) and Device Provisioning Manager (DPM), with the ability to offer these integrated products via a managed solution in the cloud to cable operators throughout Japan.
Offering high-speed Internet, VoIP and digital video services, iTSCOM will utilize both Sigma Systems' Service Management Platform and Device Provisioning Manager within its own DOCSIS 3.0 and PacketCable network. The combined Sigma Systems' OSS solution will rapidly accelerate the automation and deployment of iTSCOM's triple-play services and service bundles across its serving area.
"With Sigma Systems' industry leading solutions for cable operators, we can easily manage IP devices and automate the deployment of iTSCOM's advanced services now; with the flexibility to support our OSS SaaS solution offering in the future," said its communications Inc. Chairman, Hiroshi Kawamura. "We look forward to continuing to develop our partnership with Sigma Systems for the benefit of both our subscribers and our expanded business efforts over the coming months."
The Sigma Systems Service Management Platform is a multi-service fulfillment solution that provides a common platform from which to handle order management and activation of any bundled service offering. With the Service Management Platform, iTSCOM can deliver more services, maximize service profitability, accelerate new service revenue and enrich its customers' service experience.
The Sigma Systems Device Provisioning Manager (DPM) is a robust, automated device provisioning platform that enables next-generation operators to support both IPv4 and IPv6 devices and address space management from a common system. With Device Provisioning Manager, iTSCOM can accurately, efficiently and easily configure, upgrade and provision cable modems, e-MTAs, SIP end-points and future IP devices.
"Becoming a business partner with iTSCOM, one of the country's largest cable operators, is a key strategy to expand our business in Japan," said Tim Spencer, President of Sigma Systems. "We're dedicated to the Japanese broadband market as demonstrated by our recent opening of the Sigma Systems Japan office in Tokyo's Shibuya district, as well as the related local sales and delivery team expansion, to support our growing Japanese customer base."
