WHAT: June has been declared National Pet Adoption month and PETCO™ is doing their part to help the 5-7 million homeless pets across the country, by hosting their monthly National Adoption Weekend June 11-12, 2011. The event will provide animal lovers across the nation the chance to meet many adoptable pets, learn about area animal adoption groups, inquire about the best ways to care for a new pet, and find out about PETCO's Think Adoption First program.
The June National Pet Adoption Weekend is sponsored by Merrick Pet Care and those who adopt during the National Adoption Weekend will receive a free small bag of Merrick Cat or Dog Food.
