FORT MCMURRAY, AB--(Marketwire - Jun 30, 2011) - NorthStar Ford received the Blueprint Award for its 2010 Workplace Campaign at The United Way Community Donor Awards Wednesday, June 1 2011.
Diane Shannon, speaker at the awards, said, "This year our Blueprint Award goes to an incredible team. Marty Giles, Stacey James and the NorthStar Ford family led an incredible 2010 workplace campaign. After the 2009 Community Building Awards, Marty set in motion a plan of action by approaching the United Way, asking how he could be a part of this on a bigger scale. Marty's plan was to create awareness and wow did he ever! NorthStar Ford's campaign saw an increase of 189 percent in their total dollars raised. Even more astounding, their total number of leader donors increased by 1,050 percent from 2009 to 2010. That's right, 1,050 percent, from having two leaders on their team to 23. Although the number of donors stayed the same, they increased from having three percent of their donors give at the leader level to 50 percent. On top of all of this, NorthStar Ford was also involved in the inaugural United Way raffle and donated a brand new Ford Focus."
The dealership was thrilled to be recognized with the Blueprint Award. The NorthStar Ford team is proud to support the United Way's fundraising efforts and is excited about continuing the relationship with the non-profit organization.
