Orinda Annual Classic Car Show Expands to Orinda Country Club Golf Fairway

ORINDA, CA--(Marketwire - Jul 8, 2011) - On Saturday, September 24^th from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Orinda, CA will host the 7^th Annual Classic Car Show. This free event, presented by Orinda Motors, continues to delight car fans of all ages and benefits the "Seniors Around Town" transportation service, an Orinda Association program.

In addition to American and European classic and modern exotic cars, this year's event will feature an all-new edition of the unique exhibit "Orinda Thru the Years" coordinated by the Orinda Historical Society and Orinda Motors, combining vintage and classic cars with historical materials in a museum-like setting. The show will also feature exhibits of race cars, military vehicles and historic fire trucks by Whitney Haist, antique and classic vehicle expert.

"This year's car show is special because it will expand to display classics 'on the green' thanks to the Orinda Country Club's support in opening its beautiful 16^th golf fairway for displays," says event founder, Chip Herman. "There'll be the flavor of 'Pebble Beach' in Orinda with something for everyone, from classic cars in mint condition, daily drivers, hot rods, custom cars, race cars and motorcycles. Also this year, the Saturday car show is part of the Orinda Chamber of Commerce 'Discover Orinda's Longest Weekend' event series including The Orinda Restaurant Tour on Tuesday, September 27^th and our Pre-Show party, 'Dancing With The Cars' on Friday, September 23^rd."

Last year's event featured over 165 car entries and raised $32,000 for the "Seniors Around Town" program, the Educational Foundation of Orinda and other local charities. Each year the car show has grown in size and increased the charitable contribution to local Orinda organizations.
