OAK BROOK, IL--(Marketwire - Jul 25, 2011) - McDonald's USA treated unsuspecting city office workers on their lunch breaks to some summertime fun by throwing a Pop-Up Beach Party to celebrate the launch of the new McCafé Mango Pineapple Real Fruit Smoothie. The office workers were caught off guard when an attractive woman in a bikini began sunbathing in their usual outdoor lunch area. Moments later, more beach-goers continued to "pop up" in the scene with beach balls, hula hoops and palm trees, while a steel-drum Calypso band joined in. The party continued with summer games, music, dancing, and samples of the new smoothies. Today, McDonald's released an online video (click here to view) showing the surprise party taking over this routine downtown plaza and providing a look at how the McCafé Mango Pineapple Real Fruit Smoothie is helping people beat the heat this summer.

McDonald's launched the McCafé Mango Pineapple Real Fruit Smoothie in June. The newest addition to the continually expanding McCafé beverage line puts an exotic spin on the existing Real Fruit Smoothie line, which already includes the Strawberry Banana and Wild Berry Real Fruit Smoothies. A small McCafé Mango Pineapple Real Fruit Smoothie contains 220 calories and delivers about a ¾ cup of fruit.
