Christy Sports Announces New Plans for Its Annual Powder Daze Sales Event

LAKEWOOD, CO--(Marketwire - Aug 8, 2011) - Christy Sports (www.christysports.com), a ski and snowboard retailer in Colorado and Utah, today announced new details and plans for its annual Powder Daze Ski and Snowboard Sales Event including a new location and dates.

The event will be held at a new location: 9555 East County Line Rd, next to the new IKEA at the I-25 and East County Line Interchange. It will begin Friday, Aug. 26 and run through Monday, Sept. 5. from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and all ski and snowboard products will be up to 70 percent off.

"After listening to customer feedback regarding our previous Powder Daze sales, we decided to move our event to an easier to find, more convenient location," said Dan Fox, director of Front Range Operations at Christy Sports. "We also made the decision to start our sale the week prior to the traditional Labor Day weekend to provide our customers access to passes and great deals before the busy long weekend, so they can spend more time with their friends and families."

Similar to the previous sales events, Christy Sports, in conjunction with Copper Mountain and Winter Park, will be offering an exclusive ski pass deal. Customers who purchase a Four Pass during any of the 11 days of the Denver Power Daze Event will receive a fifth day free! Loveland Ski Area and Eldora Mountain Resort will also be offering exclusive pass deals at the event.

New to this year's event, customers will be able to shop the sale online at www.christysports.com. Christy Sports will have dedicated e-commerce staff members who will fulfill orders at the sale. Orders will then be shipped directly to the customer from Powder Daze resulting in nation-wide access to the Powder Daze Sales Event. Gordon Wade, Christy Sports director of e-commerce, commented, "Staff members will be fulfilling the Powder Daze e-commerce orders by removing the products directly from the sale event. Having the same merchandise online that is on the sales floor will allow our customers all over the United States to gain access to the same great ski and snowboard deals as our customers in Colorado."

During Powder Daze, Christy Sports will maintain its high level of customer service by offering its standard return policy on all goods purchased during the sale. All previous year's models including skis, snowboards, boots, coats, pants, helmets and accessories will be marked up to 70 percent off.

"For example, we'll have our professional boot fitters onsite helping customers purchase the correct boots in the right sizes. Also onsite at the event will be representatives from various ski areas including: Copper Mountain, Winter Park, Steamboat, Eldora Mountain Resort, and Loveland Ski Area. They will be on-hand to provide customers with resort information including ski schools and other pass products. Also representatives from leading ski and snowboard manufactures including Burton, K2, Ride, Salomon, Marker, Lange, Rossignol, Tecnica, and Volkl, will be onsite to answer any questions regarding the merchandise.
