JEFFERSON CITY, MO--(Marketwire - Aug 11, 2011) - GroupOne Health Source, a medical consulting and billing firm, and Maui Memorial Medical Center (MMMC) agreed to renew and extend GroupOne's OneRate platform of medical services for its growing group of affiliated health providers. Located in Wailuku, the hospital originally opened in 1884 and is currently the largest facility run by the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation and the only acute care hospital on Maui.
The OneRate package includes revenue cycle management services designed for physician offices and the use of the eClinicalWorks® (eCW) electronic health records system for one price based on a percentage of collections. This one-stop solution of high quality medical products and services has been utilized by practices of all sizes and specialties throughout the nation. MMMC has been a OneRate user since 2009 and uses the platform of services to assist the integration of physician practices into their controlled hospital network of over 200 providers.
"Physician integration continues to be important to Maui Memorial's goal of providing top-rated, patient-centered care," said Ms. Nola Allen, practice management director at MMMC. "GroupOne's combination of skills provides an effective solution for managing the practice's revenue cycle, with the added benefit of transition services to a quality EMR. The partnership with GroupOne addresses some of the traditional challenges of integrating physician practices with a health system in a cost effective manner."
"We at GroupOne are thrilled that Maui Memorial has decided to extend the partnership with GroupOne," said Dianne Swanson, President of GroupOne Health Source. "Our OneRate platform of services is the perfect solution for hospital networks seeking to improve the profitability of medical practices. Plus, the eClinicalWorks EHR system will allow MMMC practices to effectively and efficiently meet high quality of care goals set by the system."
