WHAT: United Way Kick-Off at the Cauldron presented by Coast Capital Savings

WHEN: 11:30am to 1:30pm, Wednesday, September 7

WHERE: Jack Poole Plaza, Vancouver Convention Centre, Vancouver, 1055 Canada Place

WHY: United Way of the Lower Mainland will officially launch the 2011 fundraising campaign to help vulnerable children, families and older people throughout the region. Dollars raised improve lives and strengthen communities. The City of Vancouver has proclaimed September 7, United Way Day.

Food, fun and the flame: On Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, people will gather at Jack Poole Plaza to launch the 2011 United Way of the Lower Mainland Annual Campaign. Attendees will join hosts, Mark Madryga, Senior Meteorologist, Global News and Nat & Drew, Hosts of Breakfast with Nat & Drew, Virgin Radio, as they all party with a purpose, with music by Dr. Strangelove.
