RALEIGH, NC--(Marketwire - Sep 13, 2011) - Total Facility Solutions, Inc., a specialty contactor and services company focused on critical process infrastructure, today announced that it has been awarded a contract to install hygienic process piping at the Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics, Inc. campus in Holly Springs, North Carolina. The order is part of Novartis' $36 million facility expansion, which includes a 100-employee development lab and pilot plant that was announced in December of last year.
"This selection to fabricate and install process piping at Novartis affirms the strength of our model for serving the life science business," said Joe Cestari, President of Total Facility Solutions. "Having invested heavily in our own North Carolina facility in 2009, we bring the infrastructure, industry expertise and experienced personnel necessary to execute on this project on time, on budget and to specification. Our core competencies and local capabilities will be critical to the successful completion of this technically challenging project."
The project will be operated out of Total Facility Solutions' Raleigh, NC location, using its 4,000 square-foot clean manufacturing space to complete all fabrication work. This location is fully equipped with the latest technology for orbital welding and meets stringent market requirements while facilitating just-in-time delivery to the construction site. Bovis Lend Lease and Novartis' project managers are overseeing the project.
"We look forward to working as a highly reliable partner that offers Novartis consistent quality on this and future projects," added Cestari.
