WASHINGTON, Sept. 16, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Physician Hospitals of America (PHA) will be holding its 11th Annual Conference & Exhibits Sept. 21-23 to discuss issues, advocacy and best practices of the physician-owned hospital market.
The mission of the conference is to raise awareness of the benefits of physician ownership for hospitals nationwide. Educational seminars will address topics including hospital turnaround, billing and coding, group purchasing agreements, crisis management, patient communication, media training and legal developments in the healthcare industry.
The keynote speakers for this event are Janet Lapp, Ph.D., CSP, CPAE and Scott Gottlieb, M.D.
Dr. Lapp has 25 years experience as clinical psychologist helping individuals, organizations and corporations turn problems into opportunities. She is additionally an author, internationally competitive athlete and host of the award-winning CBS series Keep Well. Dr. Gottlieb is a practicing physician and Resident Fellow and the American Enterprise Institute. As a leading expert in health policy, Dr. Gottlieb has contributed to the Wall Street Journal and is a regular commentator on CNBC.
