LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - Sep 27, 2011) - Gaming & Leisure, publisher of the principle management periodical for gaming and hospitality and host of the annual G&L Roundtable comprised of the industry's top thought leaders, announces today the recipients of the G&L Gaming & Hospitality Awards for 2011.
The prestigious G&L Board and Roundtable Colleagues have chosen the award recipients based on four specific categories this year: partner, transformation, innovation and the highest honor award, encompassing the three categories in addition to other evaluated criteria, the Platinum Award.
"The concept for offering four specific category awards in the G&L Gaming & Hospitality Awards series was to recognize companies for their specific core competency that they bring to the table for operators; each category is incredibly important in our industry. Of course the significance of the awards are the executives comprised within the G&L Board and Roundtable Colleagues that define the awards, create the rigorous award process, analyze the nominations and select the recipients. These judges are the top innovation leaders in our industry, they represent the vast majority of all gaming technology spend in North America and we're excited to host this award series and continuously humbled to be a part of the amazing industry thought leaders within the G&L Community," stated Jeannie Caruso, Publisher of G&L Magazine and host of the G&L Roundtable.
The award recipients will be honored next week at the G&L Roundtable on Monday, October 3 at Wynn in Las Vegas. The highest honor Platinum Award recipient, Teradata, will address the executives at the private Roundtable forum on Monday afternoon. "We are honored to receive this award from Gaming and Leisure Magazine," said Gene Sullivan, vice president of retail and hospitality, Teradata Corporation. "Gaming remains an important vertical for Teradata, especially given the strategic advantage that Gaming places on Business Intelligence. We look forward to continuing our partnership and driving innovation with our Gaming customers for years to come."
Each award recipient will be recognized at the award ceremony Monday evening at Wynn's Tableau and each will be featured in the winter edition of Gaming & Leisure; the feature will be personally edited by industry renowned technologist and awards facilitator, Mr. Bart Lewin.
