LONDON--(Marketwire - Oct 6, 2011) - Trustwave, a leading provider of information security and compliance solutions, today announced that a Trustwave cyber security expert will speak at the RSA Conference Europe 2011, in London, England, October 11 through 13. The presentation will be delivered by a member of Trustwave SpiderLabs, the team of ethical hackers responsible for application security, incident response and forensics, penetration testing and security research.
John Yeo, director, SpiderLabs EMEA, will present Threats and Trends: Real-World Forensics Cases Brought to Light, which will summarise the results and analysis of more than 220 data breach investigations and more than 2,300 penetration tests conducted during the past year.
The presentation will cover both technical and business impact analysis. Specifically, Yeo's focus on aggregated data compromise statistics will help internal security teams learn how to better protect their networks. Using data gathered from these real-world cases, he'll provide detailed information on the top attack methods, ways attackers exfiltrate sensitive data and guidance on how to prioritise security initiatives for maximum effectiveness.
"With the uptick in headline-grabbing data compromises, security has become a regular item on board room agendas," said Brooks Wallace, Trustwave managing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa. "By demonstrating the unfortunate mistakes of others, enterprise security teams will learn which security controls should be implemented to protect their network environment."
