CHANDLER, Ariz., Oct. 18, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Elliptical Mobile Solutions, (EMS) the global leaders in Micro-Modular Data Centers™, today announced it has signed a new channel partnership agreement with IT infrastructure integrator Knitlogix Pvt, Ltd., based in Hyderabad, India. Knitlogix will market the EMS R.A.S.E.R. HD, R.A.S.E.R. DX and C3-S.P.E.A.R products to SME, enterprises and government organizations in India and the Middle East.
Knitlogix focuses on building energy efficient, smaller footprint data centers, offering RTU DC (Ready To Use Data Center), high density computing equipment in Storage Area Network (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), servers, switches and monitoring devices for remote management. Through its offices across India and the Middle East, Knitlogix will market, integrate, and support the entire EMS line of products.
"Knitlogix is a storage-focused company with a wealth of experience in developing data center integration," said Don Kennedy, senior vice president of international sales for EMS. "As we continue to expand our presence in India, we have every confidence that Knitlogix will be a valuable representative of EMS in this key geography."
EMS enclosures fully replicate the capabilities of a traditional data center or containerized data center while offering significant capital, operational and energy cost savings. "EMS's Micro-Modular Data Centers provide customers with a unique alternative to the 'traditional data center'," said Raj Kumar G, regional director of Knitlogix. "Combined with Knitlogix knowledge and expertise in the enterprise data center and storage markets, EMS's products will allow us to provide a complete vendor neutral data center infrastructure that is quickly deployable, and delivers exceptionally low TCO (total cost of ownership, which are well suited for emerging markets."
Since its founding, EMS has reinvented the data center industry using energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness as its guiding principles. Today, it is the only company in the world to build rack-level enclosures with onboard security, cooling and fire suppression. The enclosures contain industry standard 19" racks that can house the world's most high-tech equipment including SAN, NAS, Blade servers, iSCSI, InfiniBand, Fibre Channel and FCoE-based converged network devices. Enclosures can be built, fully populated and deployed within weeks compared to months or longer, greatly accelerating data center infrastructure implementations.
EMS's enclosures are perfectly scalable allowing new servers, switches and storage devices to be added immediately or on an "as needed" basis without disrupting current data center operations. Additionally, enclosures offer the flexibility to interchange network architectures with no impact to existing operations and with greater uptime and availability. As a result, EMS's technology offers savings up to 80% in capital costs, up to 60% in operational costs, up to 50% in cooling and electricity costs, and up to 75% on floor space.
