Orbite Opens an Information and Consultation Office in the Gaspe

Centre will help strengthen collaboration between the Company and communities in northern Gaspe

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Oct. 19, 2011) - Orbite Aluminae Inc. (TSX:ORT) ("Orbite") is pleased to announce the opening of an information and consultation centre in Grande-Vallée. The facility aims at keeping stakeholders and the general public in the Gaspé region updated on its project to develop its aluminous clay deposits and produce both high purity and smelter grade alumina and to ensure that the needs and expectations of nearby residents taken into consideration.

The office, in the Eastern district to the Gaspé Peninsula and close to Orbite's aluminous clay deposits, will serve as the company's link to people living in the area. It will allow regular communication on the progress of each phase and will help raise awareness about the socio-economic benefits the project will generate for local communities. A presentation of the project components, business and career opportunities, timelines, will be at the heart of the information available in this public venue designed to strengthen Orbite's collaboration with the Gaspé region.

"Our facility, which will inform the public on the many facets of the Orbite initiative in the Gaspé area, will provide citizens with clear, detailed and transparent news on the progress of our work and fold in their aspirations within the project," explained Mr. Richard Boudreault, President and CEO of Orbite.

In addition to an area open to the general public, the information centre will include the office of André Lemieux, Director for Community Relations, as well as work space for the professionals involved in the project. It will also serve as a project office locally where Orbite's staff can work on delivering the smelter grade alumina plant. The centre is located at 10 St-François-Xavier West in Grande-Vallée.
