The marketing initiative will put Black Powder Customs' customers front and center by profiling them, their backgrounds and how their snowboards match their unique personalities and snowboarding styles. Zack Newton, a 17-year-old from Australia, was one of the first international customers to be featured by Black Powder Customs.

Newton, who found Black Powder Customs through an online search for custom designed snowboards, wanted to create a unique board that would stand out and show off his laid-back riding style on the slopes. "It's a really responsive board. I don't have to put much effort into popping a nice ollie, and I'm the only one in the whole world to be rocking this design. The vibrant colors and untamed look of the design are 100 percent my style, and there's something really special about having a board that's unique to yourself," Newton said. "Plus, it really stands out from all the other boards out on the board racks!"
Newton has been snowboarding six years. Even though he resides a long way from the snow, that doesn't stop him from his love of snowboarding with freeboarding being the other way he carves when snow isn't available. His goal is to ultimately start a career in snowboarding and share his boarding style as an instructor to other aspiring snowboarders.
