WebNMS Launches KPI Dashboard and Reporting Engine for 4G/LTE at 4G World

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - Oct 25, 2011) - 4G WORLD 2011 - WebNMS, the #1 provider of Element Management System (EMS) and Network Management Systems (NMS) solutions for the telecom industry, unveiled today its groundbreaking KPI Dashboard and Reporting Engine for 4G / LTE device and network management. The Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Dashboard is a customizable, widget-based platform that offers NOC operators extraordinary visibility into 4G/LTE devices. Demonstrations of the software will be available at the WebNMS Booth #1830 at the 4G World Exhibition.

"Today's networks have ever increasing voice and data traffic and steaming media, -- which is producing volumes of fault and performance data from devices. NOC operators need to make sense of it in real time," said Eric Wegner, business development manager, WebNMS. "The KPI Dashboard and Reporting Engine aggregates data and employs complex logical formulas to make sense of all the data, draw critical conclusions visually and help make decisions that drive better Service Assurance."

WebNMS harnessed more than a decade of experience in network and element management systems to develop the KPI Dashboard and Reporting Engine. The WebNMS Reporting Engine is able to poll critical network devices to gather "Big Data" across 4G/LTE networks, and then mine the data and report its findings across many data and device types. In addition, the KPI Engine can cross functional modules such as, fault data, device configurations, health and performance data and data in an inventory database. Unlike other visibility tools marketed as individual modules, WebNMS offers the only KPI dashboard that allows users a single, comprehensive view into a 4G/LTE network.

The KPI Dashboard allows users to create customized dashboards on the fly from a widget gallery. These widgets range from ENodeB and Inter MME Handover Rates to Cell Available Time and MME Processor Usage that can be used to understand signaling traffic performance and network stability. NOC operators can set benchmarks, troubleshoot fault issues faster or determine trends to create optimal network efficiency.

"Service providers today need assurance at all layers -- at the NOC, within the infrastructure, in customer service and at most importantly at the customer experience level," said Susan McNeice, vice president of software research at Yankee Group. "The challenge, and the market opportunity, lies in the ability of a single platform that can collect all of the data from key network devices or EMSs, pull it into one place in order to truly improve the quality of service and performance across the entire network."

Eric Wegner joined Susan McNeice in a panel discussion on Monday, October 24th at 2:10 pm, to discuss how to ensure high-quality service across the expanding universe of devices. Architectural diagrams of the WebNMS platform are available online at: www.webnms.com and on demand demos of WebNMS are taking place at Booth 2127 at 4G World, October 24-27, 2011.
