MMM Selected as Special Counsel to New York State College Choice Tuition Savings Program

ATLANTA,GA--(Marketwire - Nov 9, 2011) - Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP (MMM) is pleased to announce that it has been selected to serve as Special Counsel to the New York State College Choice Tuition Savings Program, also known as New York's 529 College Savings Program. The term of the agreement is for five years with the potential for renewal.

MMM, a firm focused on investment management and financial services, added partner Margaret R.A. Paradis in February 2011 in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. "This is an important win for the firm," said Partner Chuck Beaudrot, who helped recruit Ms. Paradis to the firm. "Investment management and financial services regulation has been a focus for the firm, and adding New York's 529 College Saving Program work to our existing client base will help take the practice to the next level."

As special counsel, the MMM team led by Ms. Paradis will assist New York State's 529 College Savings Program in the following:

  • Negotiation of the management agreement with the firm selected pursuant to the new RFP for program management services
