DIEPPE, NB--(Marketwire - Nov 14, 2011) - Nanoptix, Inc. has won a major victory in a patent infringement lawsuit filed against Nanoptix by FutureLogic, Inc. FutureLogic alleged that Nanoptix's award-winning PayCheck printers infringed FutureLogic's U.S. Patent No. 7,594,855, entitled "Method and Apparatus for Gaming Promotional Printer." The Court ruled in favor of Nanoptix, finding on summary judgment that the patent was invalid.

Nanoptix vigorously defended its position in the Central District of California Court, where the suit was first filed in November 2010. The summary judgment ruling in favor of Nanoptix was issued on November 2, 2011.
The '855 patent generally relates to a promotional printer with two ports, one for receiving coupon data and one for receiving voucher data.
The PayCheck 4™ thermal printer, which is marketed and sold as a JCM Global product, was recently named to the "Best Consumer Service Technology" list in Global Gaming Business Magazine's 10th annual Gaming & Technology Awards.
