SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - Nov 17, 2011) - NetEnrich today announced it will donate five percent of the total revenue generated from targeted sales within the Ingram Micro Venture Tech Network (VTN) community to the Joplin Habitat for Humanity. In 2011, the close-knit community of Joplin, Missouri was devastated by a tornado that killed 162 people and resulted in millions in damages to homes, damaging over 7,000 and completely destroying over 4,000.
"The cost to build a Habitat House in Joplin is approximately $45,000 and today there are over a thousand families that need a place to live. Sadly, there is not enough funding to help everyone in need," says Jane Cage, COO, Heartland Technology Solutions (HTS) and Chairman of Joplin's Citizens Advisory Recovery Team.
"The generosity of companies like NetEnrich, who are willing to share a percentage of their revenues to aid in Joplin's recovery, and offer incentives to others who can do the same, is a wonderful testimony to the heart and soul of the IT channel," says Cage. "The VTN community has been a lifeline for HTS for more than 12 years and we're so thankful for their ongoing support during good times and bad."
The exclusive VTN fund-raiser led by NetEnrich includes sales from any NetEnrich packaged service delivered between Oct. 1, 2011 through March 31, 2012. As part of the effort, NetEnrich's management team will join Jane Cage, members of the HTS team, Ingram Micro executives and other interested VTN members in Joplin in 2012 to continue the recovery efforts by helping to build homes funded by the effort.
"When Justin Crotty and I sat down with Jane Cage and Larry Hedin at the Fall VTN Invitational in Las Vegas and listened to what the families, business owners and residents of Joplin, Missouri were up against, and we simply wanted to help in any way we could," says Raju Chekuri, CEO, NetEnrich. "By the time the VTN Invitational was over, our efforts were in full swing."
To date more than a dozen Ingram Micro VTN members have become NetEnrich partners and helped donate to the Joplin Habitat Office.
"Charitable giving runs deep in the VTN community and the Joplin Habitat for Humanity has taken on a very personal meaning to the VTN community because we're all in this together," says John Fago, director of channel marketing, Ingram Micro North America. "It's great to see a growing company like NetEnrich extend this type of charitable offer through the VTN community to help a cause that's so close to our hearts and will impact so many."
