The keynote address, Competing on Talent Analytics, will be delivered by Jeremy Shapiro, Executive Director, HR Data and Insight, Morgan Stanley, where he is engaged in leveraging human capital data into actionable management insights. As a volunteer with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Mr. Shapiro is supporting an initiative to document human capital metrics into industry-wide standards, certified by SHRM as American National Standards Institute standards. In addition to writing and speaking extensively on HR analytics, he teaches a professional seminar on analytics for Cornell's ILR school in New York City.
Aberdeen's HCM Summit -- Data-Driven Talent Decisions -- is established on the foundation that, just as a successful enterprise requires a business plan based on data, insights and forecasts to succeed, the need exists for a data-based talent management plan within the enterprise. HR leaders today require tangible data and analytics to facilitate better talent decisions to align talent acquisition, retention, and development with the needs and goals of the enterprise.
"Organizations today are striving to do better, make better choices, grow faster and differentiate themselves from the pack, and talent is a critical way for businesses to meet all these challenges," said Mollie Lombardi, Research Director, Aberdeen Human Capital Management research practice. "Aberdeen research indicates that the most successful organizations know how talent impacts the business and which roles are critical for enterprise growth and performance. They successfully integrate talent management activities into daily business practices, and gather and deliver correct data to all stakeholders to understand, measure and monitor the impact of talent decisions on the enterprise."
